Gintaras Varnas
Gintaras Varnas (1961) è un regista teatrale lituano. Dal 1988 al 1993 ha studiato direzione teatrale all'Accademia Lituana di Musica sotto la supervisione di Jonas Vaitkus e Rimas Tuminas.
Tra il 1980 e il 1983 G.Varnas ha lavorato come assistente alla regia al Teatro Drammatico Russo Lituano. La fama di G. Varnas si estende quando fonda nel 1988 il teatro Šėpos, che dirigerà fino al 1992.
Nel periodo dal 1989 al 2004 diventa un direttore artistico freelance creando performances per il Teatro statale della Gioventù , per il Piccolo Teatro di Vilnius , per il teatro dell'Opera lituano, e all'estero per il Teatro dell'Opera Nazionale della Lettonia e il teatro Nitra in Slovacchia. A partire dalla primavera del 2004 G. Varnas è direttore artistico del teatro statale drammatico di Kaunas .
