Rimas Tuminas
Rimas Tuminas è uno dei più importanti direttori del Teatro Lituano contemporaneo. Dopo essersi laureato all'Istituto d'Arte A. Lunacharsky di Mosca nel 1978, Tuminas inizia la sua carriera al Teatro Drammatico Statale muovendosi subito al di fuori del repertorio classico. Nelle performances dirette da Tuminas, la vita di ogni giorno si trasforma in poesia, il dramma si tinge di ironia. Le sue performances non sono dominate da "effetti speciali" ma da giocose improvvisazioni degli attori. Tuminas ha spesso lavorato all'estero, in Svezia, Finlandia, Islanda, Russia, Inghilterra e Polonia.
